Customer Review: Very good Camcoder (But not for taking photos)

We bought this camcoder for our Alaska trip. Very good Camcoder for vedio recording. Zoom is also very good (video did not get blurr) even with full 70x zoom.
Battery life is good. If you are doing only video recording then battery lasts 2.5 to 3.5 hrs recording time. (Roughly activities of 1 day).
But big problem is photos. Quality of photos is no where near digital cameras. And even worst part is battery drains very fast while taking photos. (No idea why). But I experienced it two times while in Alaska.
The set I bought from Amazon also had - extra bettery - good one (but lasts little shorter than original), small tripod (not at all suitable for outside activities, good for home use to keep on table top), carrying bag (very good).
