I just purchased one of these and have only used it a few times, so keep that in mind. I am comparing it with the Water Pik Cordless. First, I am disappointed that it seems to have a very small tank. It says it is the same size as Water Pik, but only lasts about 30 seconds and has to be refilled several times. With the Water Pik I would have to refill it maybe once. Also, it comes with only one tip, but I don't know how durable it is. One thing I am not happy about is that instructions state you can't use anything but plain tap water. My dentist said to mix it up with part hydrogen peroxide or Crest mouthwash (I have gum issues) but apparently you can't with this one. I can't comment on battery life or durability yet, but don't rate it highly because of these other issues.

Panasonic's Portable Oral Irrigator should be a part of your daily cleaning regimen. A perfect way to massage gumlines to help strengthen gums as well as tackle those hard to reach areas.To supplement tooth brushing and dental flossing, Panasonic?s oral irrigator delivers 1,600 pulses of water per minute to teeth and gum lines. The jet of water clears away debris between teeth while massaging gum lines and rinsing the mouth. It?s a healthy oral hygiene tool for everybody, and especially helpful for people with hard-to-clean braces or retainers. Operation is simple: slide the irrigator into position, insert the nozzle, fill the tank with cool water, turn on power, and start irrigating. One full tank offers 40 seconds of use, and Panasonic recommends refilling the tank two to three times per cleaning session. Designed for convenient portability, the irrigator operates on two AA batteries (not included) and collapses to just 6 inches for storage. A drain at the base of the water tank simplifies emptying, and a storage notch holds the included irrigator nozzle between uses.
